"The Hawk" nine, named after Ben Hogan, has one Par-5, along with three Par-3 holes, and the remaining five Par- 4's, offering a quaint and cool saunter through the mature Eucalyptus and Pine trees. The Hawk to King combination provides a very popular rotation for early morning play.
The Hawk course provides over 165 shade trees where you can comfortably wait until your turn to play, and enjoy temperatures approximately 15 degrees cooler than having to wait out in the sun.
Signature Hole - #7
The 369 yard dog leg left par 4 does not sound challenging but plenty of under par rounds on the Hawk have been lost on this hole. A long iron or 3-wood is required for the lay-up tee shot. If you can negotiate the tee shot, a green surrounded by water in front and to the left, with bunkers protecting the back of the green, only leaves the golfer a miss to the right. Getting up and down from the rough is no easy task either. A four on this hole feels like a birdie. Numbers over five are not uncommon in this Hogan-like hole.
